Lena Mamoun Abdel-Gadir, a 19 year old medical student from East Anglia travelled to Syria in 2015 to supposedly help refugees. However, media reports at the time described her as a supporter of Sharia law that praised the Charlie Hebdo murders and claimed homosexuality was a disease.
Though it's uncertain Abdal-Gadir did join Isis that was the suggestion at the time - denied by her family of course. Earlier, though, the parents had, sent her to study in Sudan so she might become 'closer to her Islamic roots' and culture (so much for intergration, assimilation, with British culture). Now 22 years old it is presently unclear whether Abdel-Gadir has crawled back into the UK.
